On 22nd October, Prof. Wei HU from Hunan University gave a talk titled “Flexible Opto-electronic Devices and Physics” at IAPME. Prof. Hu introduced the development of flexible optoelectronic devices and focused on their contributions in realizing silver nanowires film electrode on flexible substrates with high transmittance and conductivity as well as their work in high-quality perovskite film growth on the flexible PET substrates. Also, Prof. Hu introduced novel semiconductors and their device construction for light signal detector, solar energy conversion and biological sensors.

Dr. Wei HU received his B. S. degrees in electronic materials and devices from the Jilin University in 2001, M. A. degree and Ph. D. degree in microelectronics and solid-state electronics from Jilin University in 2004 and 2007, respectively. He was a postdoctoral research fellow at University of Queensland (Centre for Organic Photonics and Electronics) from 2008 to 2010. He joined Hunan University in 2011 and is currently an assistant professor in the School of Physics and Electronics. His research interests include novel semiconductor materials, optoelectronic devices and applications for wearable electronic and energy areas.
