Prof. Xing Guichuan received the PVSEC-26 Young Scientist Award, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the research in perovskite optoelectronics. He has continuously made substantial contribution to the research field of metal-halide perovskite for optoelectronic applications. The “long-range balanced e- and h-diffusion lengths in metal-halide perovskites” revealed by him has been widely accepted by the research community and considered as one of the main distinctive properties that have led to an unprecedented evolution of efficient perovskite solar cells. Even more outstanding, Prof. Xing was the first person who discovered that metal-halide perovskites are also good light emitters, which initiated a new research field of perovskite for light emission.
