Prof. Miao ZHOU gave an invited talk entitled “Fermi-level depinning in metal-semiconductor junctions with multilayered 2D semiconductors” at IAPME on 2nd Dec 2020. Prof. ZHOU got his BS degree from Chongqing University in 2008 and his PhD from National University of Singapore in 2012, during which he also studied at Hongkong University and Humboldt University at Berlin as a visiting scholar. During 2012-2016, he worked at University of Utah as a postdoctoral research fellow and Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society as a scientist. His research focuses on the physical and chemical properties of surface/interface systems by theoretical computations, including first-principles, tight-binding, ab initio molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo simulations. He has published over 100 papers in scientific journals such as PNAS, PRL, Angewandte Chemie and AM. His is an editorial board member for J. Phys.: Condens. Matter, and acts as regular referee for over 30 journals such as Nature Commun., PRL, AM, AEM, Nansocale, etc.
