On 03 December, Prof. Junhao Lin from Southern University of Science and Technology visited IAPME and gave a talk on “Atomic study of defects and its correlations to the material properties in novel 2D materials”. In the seminar, he presented recent progress on the atomic scale characterization of defective structures in 2D materials like monolayer amorphous carbon, MoS2, MoTe2, etc. He also made the outlook about the research and application of 2D materials. Prof. Lin joined Southern University of Science and Technology since 2018. He is primarily engaged in experimental plus theoretical studies on 2D materials. He has published more than 80 papers on journals including Nature and PRL with over 7500 citations.
