Prof. Huaiyu SHAO’s team in IAPME focus on research and development of battery and hydrogen energy materials and systems. Their founded AOLISIN company incubated in the UM Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, develops high-end silicon-based, graphite-based anodes to improve battery fast charging and cycle performance, as well as applicability and safety of prelithiation products in conventional environments. Some developed first-of-class or best-of class products not only have excellent performance, but also can be used in existing enterprise production lines. A number of achievements have entered the stage of pilot test and small batch production, obtained third-party certification and Gotion High-Tech product trial contract. The team, with the project of “High-level silicon carbon and graphite anode materials for lithium batteries” won the first place in the Macau Trials of ninth Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship competition of “Dali Cup” in July 2022. And they won 7 awards at 2022 Macao Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. They will participate in some national and international competitions including China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition and 2022 Create@Alibaba Cloud Global Startup Contest to compete with teams from around the world on behalf of Macao.
