Prof. Shuxing WU from Guangdong University of Technology delivered a lecture titled “Application Research of High-Energy-Density Lithium-Ion Battery Binders” at the IAPME on November 27, 2023. During the seminar, Professor Shuxing WU presented his latest research findings pertaining to the development and utilization of high-performance binders in silicon-based anodes for lithium-ion batteries:
- Addressing challenges associated with silicon-based anode materials, including low initial Coulombic efficiency, severe volume expansion, and rapid capacity decay during cycling. The primary objective is to achieve long-cycle stability for a silicon-based negative electrode through the application of advanced binders.
- Exploring the broader applications of binders in the realm of lithium-ion batteries, extending beyond silicon-based anodes.
