On October 27, 2025, a delegation from Inner Mongolia Tangu Technology Ltd. (内蒙古碳谷科技有限公司), led by its President, Mr. Yongqing Sun (孫永青), visited the Institute of Applied Physics and Materials Engineering (IAPME) at the University of Macau. The delegation also includes Academician Yongmin Zhang (張勇民) of the French Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Chief Scientist of the abovementioned company.
During the visit, Prof. Guichuan Xing briefly introduced IAPME and showcased the institute’s recent achievements in several key research areas. Mr. Sun presented the company’s journey in graphene industrialization and its primary applications, with a particular focus on its current use and collaborative potential in perovskite solar cells. Both parties explored potential collaboration on graphene supply for related IAPME research and discussed joint models for promoting the industrialization of perovskite optoelectronics. Prof. Huaiyu Shao also joined the discussions, exchanging ideas with Academician Zhang, his alumnus, on potential collaborative research in chemistry and biochemistry. The visit also facilitated discussions on the feasibility of hosting an international fullerene forum/workshop in Macao, paving the way for future cooperation in new carbon material research and application.
