On 23 January and 31 January 2026, two groups of students from Dalian University of Technology (DUT) visited our Institute. The first group, comprising 34 students, visited on 23 January, followed by a second group of 20 students on 31 January. The visits were organized to help students gain insight into UM’s postgraduate programmes and foster academic exchange between the two institutions.
Prof. Guoxing Sun received two visiting groups. During the sessions, he provided an overview of UM main campus and IAPME, introduced our institute’s background, programmes, and key research areas. He also highlighted recent advancements and showcased innovative products developed from IAPME’s research activities, which generated strong interests among the students.
The DUT students also shared insights into their academic interests and ongoing studies, and took the opportunity to learn more about postgraduate programmes at UM. The interactive sessions fostered an open exchange of ideas and generated enthusiastic discussions about possibilities for future academic exchange—particularly in areas such as student mobility and collaborative learning.
These visits not only deepened the students’ understanding of UM’s graduate education and research environment but also strengthened the foundation for sustaining academic engagement between Dalian University of Technology and the University of Macau.
