February 6, 2026, A five-member delegation from 教育部高等學校科學研究發展中心 visited UM and had exchange activities at IAPME, aiming to deepen in-depth cooperation and strengthen collaborative ties in scientific research between universities in the Chinese mainland and Macao. The delegation was led by Deputy Director Xinyu Chu (儲新宇).
As the representative of the receiving party, Prof. Guoxing Sun introduced in detail the institute’s development history, overall scientific research layout, key research directions and phased scientific research achievements to the delegation, fully demonstrating the institute’s scientific research strength and development potential.
The two sides discussed the institute’s progress in advanced materials, nanotechnology and energy physics, and exchanged views on laboratory construction, project cooperation and talent training, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.
This visit enhanced the delegation’s understanding of UM’s research strength, built a bridge for mainland-Macau university cooperation, and promoted the coordinated development of higher education and scientific innovation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
