1. Students should allow at least 3-4 weeks for this pre oral defense procedures with details in point 3 below. Thus, they should submit their application well ahead of the preferred Senate Meeting.

2. Pre Oral Defense Documents:
2.1 Same documents in “Document Checklist (Before Oral Defense)”.
2.2 PDF file of a 30-minutes presentation PPT (similar to the one that will be used for oral defense later)

3. Pre Oral Defense Procedures:
3.1 Students should submit the documents listed in point 2 above to the General Office, who will check if the student meet the graduation requirements.
3.2 If the requirements are met, General Office will send the thesis and PPT to IAPME GSC, who will assign a Pre Oral Defense Committee to review the thesis and PPT. The  Committee will feedback if the thesis / PPT need revision and if the pre oral defense can be arranged.
3.3The General Office will inform the student about the comment (if any) and composition of the pre oral defense committee.
3.4The student will arrange the pre oral defense with the Committee directly.

4. There are 3 possible outcomes of the pre oral defense.
4.1 “Pass”: the General Office will proceed to arrange the formal oral defense.
4.2 “Pass with revision”: student need to revise the thesis/PPT according to the comment of the Committee and only after the Committee accepts the revised thesis/PPT, then the General Office will arrange the defense thereafter.
4.3 “Fail”: student can only re-submit the application after 3 months.
