On 16 Aug, Prof. Oi Lun LI from Pusan National University, gave a talk entitled “Plasma Process for Materials Synthesis and Their Applications in Fuel cell, Metal-air Battery and Biomass Conversion” at IAPME. At the seminar, Prof. LI introduces a special type of liquid or gas-liquid interfacial plasma process, belongs to the non-equilibrium (cold) plasma, could offer a new reaction medium, where the active species and chemical reactions can be altered by varying the liquid media. In addition, Prof. LI present a novel reaction kinetics promoting fast reaction and high density of radicals for the application of nanoparticle synthesis.

Prof. Oi Lun LI is an Assistant professor in School of Materials Science and Engineering at Pusan National University, Korea. Prof. Li has completed her Ph.D in 2010 at McMaster University, and worked as an assistant professor at Nagoya University, and an Assosicate professor at Shibaura Institute of Technology until the end of 2017. Her major research interests include metal/ heteroatom-doped carbon catalysts for Li-air battery and fuel cell, as well as functional carbon nanomaterials for biomass conversion. She has published over 40 SCI/SCIE papers in relevant topics. She had won “Incentive Award” by the Materials Research Society (Japan), “Young Scientist Award” and “Best Oral Presentation” in international conferences. Currently, she held a few research grants from National Research Foundation of Korea, Busan Innovative Institute of Industry, Science & Technology Planning and Industrial company from Japan.
